- Instrumentation Engineering. This is the subfield that deals with the designing of devices to measure physical quantities such as pressure, flow, and temperature. The devices are known as instrumentation.
- Computer Engineering. This subfield deals with the designing of computer systems as well as new computer hardware.
- VLSI Design Engineering. VLSI is an acronym for Very Large Scale Integration. The subfield deals with the fabrication of ICs and other various electronic components.
